Convertable
Privacy And Data
What stays on your device, what is stored for your account, and how to delete it.
Your files stay on your device. Convertable only stores a small amount of account information, and only if you sign in.
Steps
To see your plan and usage, go to the Account tab.
To stop anonymous usage data, turn off Share Usage Data on the Account tab.
To take a copy of your details or remove your account, see Delete Your Account.
What You Get
Your files
- Conversions run on your device. Your files are not uploaded.
- Convertable keeps a working copy of each file you add for up to 24 hours, and converted files for up to 7 days. Signing out or deleting your account removes the converted files at once.
- Photo conversions remove location and camera data by default. See Set Photo Options.
Your account (only if you sign in)
- Your email address and your name.
- Your monthly conversion count and your plan.
- Your sign-in is kept securely on your device.
Usage data
- Share Usage Data is on until you turn it off. It sends anonymous usage data that helps us improve Convertable. It does not include your email address or name.
- Crash reports are still sent when it is off. They do not say who you are.
Photos
- Convertable asks permission only to save converted images and videos to Photos. Choosing photos to convert uses the system photo picker.
If It Doesn't Work
- You want your data removed: see Delete Your Account.
- You have a privacy question: read the privacy policy or contact support.
Limits
- A PDF password added with Convertable deters casual access but is not strong encryption.
- Purchases are made through the App Store.
- The privacy policy is the full statement. This page is a summary.
