Convertable
Extract Audio Or Make A GIF
Turn a video into an audio file, or into a short looping GIF.
A video can become an audio file, or a short GIF, as well as another video format.
Steps
Add one or more videos and tap Convert.
In the Video group, choose an audio format (M4A, WAV, AIFF or CAF) to extract the sound, or GIF to make a GIF.
Tap Convert, then save or share the result.
What You Get
- Audio: a sound file taken from the video.
- GIF: a short, looping animation.
- You can also turn a GIF into a video. Add the GIF and choose MP4, MOV or M4V.
If It Doesn't Work
- "This file has no audio to extract.": the video has no sound track. Choose a different file.
- The GIF is short: this is how GIFs work here. See Limits.
- "This video couldn't be converted.": it may use a codec this device cannot re-encode. Try another format.
Limits
- A GIF keeps the first 6 seconds of the video only, at a reduced size (up to 480 pixels). The Choose Formats screen shows this when you pick GIF.
- Convertable cannot create MP3. Audio formats it can create are M4A, WAV, AIFF and CAF.
