Convertable
Set Photo Options
Resize photos, aim for a file size and remove location and camera data.
When you convert photos to another image format, Choose Formats shows a Photo Options card.
Steps
Add your photos and tap Convert.
Choose an image format, such as JPEG or PNG, in the Convert To row.
In Photo Options, under Resize, choose Original, 1920px, 1280px, 640px or 50%.
If the format is JPEG, HEIC or JPEG 2000, choose a Target File Size: No Limit, 500 KB, 1 MB or 2 MB.
Leave Remove Location & Camera Data on, or turn it off to keep that data. Then tap Convert.
What You Get
- Resize: the longer side is limited to 1920, 1280 or 640 pixels, or the photo is scaled to half size. Convertable never makes a photo bigger.
- Target File Size: Convertable lowers the quality until the photo fits under your size, where it can.
- Remove Location & Camera Data: the converted photo has no location, camera or similar details. It is on by default, so a photo you share does not give away where it was taken.
- Output: Best Quality or Smaller File for JPEG, HEIC, JPEG 2000, MP4, MOV and M4V.
If It Doesn't Work
- No Photo Options card: it only appears when you convert an image to another image format. It does not appear for image to PDF.
- No Target File Size choice: it only appears when the format is JPEG, HEIC or JPEG 2000.
- Location is missing from my converted photo: the removal switch was on. Turn it off and convert again.
Limits
- Resize, file size and metadata options apply to image to image conversions only.
- The file size choices are 500 KB, 1 MB and 2 MB.
