Convertable
Convert A PDF To Text Or Images
Turn a PDF into an image, or pull out its text as Plain Text, Rich Text, Markdown or HTML.
A PDF can become one long image, or a text document.
Steps
On Home, add the PDF and tap Convert.
In the Document group, choose the format. For an image, choose PNG, JPEG or TIFF (if your device can create it). For text, choose Plain Text, Rich Text, Markdown or HTML.
Tap Convert, then save or share the result.
What You Get
- An image: all the pages stacked into one image.
- Text: the words from the PDF in the format you chose.
- You can go the other way too. Plain Text, Rich Text, Markdown and HTML files can all become a PDF.
If It Doesn't Work
- "This PDF has no text to extract — it's most likely a scan.": the PDF is made of pictures. Convert it to an image instead.
- "This PDF has 25 pages, more than fit in one image (the limit is 20).": split it first with Split A PDF, then convert the parts.
- "The PDF's pages couldn't be read.": the file may be damaged. Check it and try again.
Limits
- A PDF can have up to 20 pages when you turn it into an image.
- Convertable does not create Word (DOCX) or Pages documents.
- Scanned PDFs have no text to extract.
